Yamaha 1300 V-STAR Backrest Installation Instructions
1. Remove driver and passenger seat
2. Remove passenger hold down strap nuts and
washers from bottom of passenger seat. (Bracket mounts to the bottom of the passenger seat not the fender or the bracket!!!)
3. Place supplied bracket over existing studs and reinstall
nuts and washers.
4. Reinstall seats
5. Slide backrest into the installed bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

Rider back rest for Yamaha V Star 1300 Tourer
I mounted the backrest in about 20 minutes, took it for a 300 mile ride yesterday. The back rest did the trick! Glad I got it and the Grasshopper folks were great to work with. Even answered my email on the weekend. Good product, good folks!
