Kawasaki 1600 Nomad Vulcan Installation Instructions

1. Remove passenger seat
2. Remove the bolt that holds down the rear of drivers’ seat
3. Place supplied bracket over existing hole and reinstall bolt
4. Reinstall passenger seat(may be tight at first)
5. Slide backrest into the hidden bracket
(if upright is loose put one piece of electrical tape around tongue and reinstall)

excellent product for the money
I've been lookin for a drivers backrest for a while now, and while there are other options out there, they are very expensive. The grasshopper backrest is a great bang for your buck. Installation is literally 2 minutes, only one screw. So far, it feels solid and well made. I love the fact that it goes on and off in the blink of an eye. I'm 5'8", and I find that it sits me about 2 inches closer. For under $100, this is a great addition to make the miles more comfortable.
