2014 - UP INDIAN CHIEF or CHIEFTAN or SPRINGFIELD TAN W/TWO PIECE SEAT
I had 2 problems. 1st, before I even mounted it a rivet came off. I pushed it back in and 100 miles, it's still in. Secondly while mounting the bracket, I pulled a thread or 2 in the nut on the bike. I went to Fastenal and bought a couple 1/4" longer. Went right together. As far as the backrest, it does improve my posture, But I am 6'2" and it gave me less leg room. Nice that I can remove it easily and put in saddlebag.

Back again...
This is my third Grasshopper Backrest. The first two were on Harleys; this one for my Indian Chief Darkhorse. Fit is spot on, and installation is a breeze. Keeps you firmly planted in the saddle, when at highway speeds without a windshield. Definitely helps alleviate lower back pain on long rides. And you can't beat the price, when compared to OEM. by the way, if y'all would send me the studded version, I'll gladly send the plain one back to you. Sounds like a plan!

Indian drivers backrest.
Great product for the price. Probably not Indian backrest quality, but a quarter of the price!
