    easy installation

Posted by Matt Rossi on 20th Mar 2016

Took about a minute to install, and is a a great addition. Saw backrests on other bikes but had a stock seat so didn't think I could get a backrest for stock seat, that is till I came across a site that recommended grasshopper. Now I have a comfy backrest and didn't have to buy a 450.00 seat with backrest. Thanks,

    Very Satisfied

I put this on my 2007 Honda VTX 1800T. On the plus side, installation was super easy, it sits just right, and it matches the stock seat. On the down side, it was very loose in the bracket and I had to use several layers of electrical tape to get it to fit snugly and the vinyl on the bottom is closed with visible staples rather than upholstery tack strips. The pros far outweigh the cons especially for the price. I hate riding without a backrest and this one is really good.

    Me again 2005 1300r VTX

Just wanted to update my review "fits like a glove" now that I have some miles under my belt using the backrest. It still feels awesome, like having a chair back to rest on which is padded. Some older riders may have complained they are hitting the backrest with thier foot as they get on. I simply pull mine out of the bracket, mount the motorcycle and quickly place it back in the bracket. The quick release is truly a "genius" design and as for being too loose in the bracket I have never had a problem with it. It doesn't move when I am leaning against it. It sure has taken the strain off my arms and back. I'm 63 and the body can use all the help it can get. I am glad I choose this over the Kuryakyn 1555. It gives the bike such a clean custom made look. keep up the great work there at Grasshopper LTD!
